Unlike some of his peers facing unemployment and insecurity in Mali, Mamadou proved he didn’t have to seek purpose through violence. With support from our project, he opened a poultry farm that now employs three people and strengthens the local economy.
In Lebanon, we have trained and continue supporting over 100 local women mediators. True pillars of strength for their communities, they are using their conflict resolution and mediation skills to resolve local tensions and meet the most urgent needs of people affected by the recent war.
In Rwanda, we are supporting community healing and reconciliation after the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi. This work has already helped helped thousands to deal with their trauma, seek and give forgiveness, and work together for a better future through small business projects.
