International Alert employs over 200 people of 30 nationalities both in our London offices and in the regions where we work. Most are full-time staff, but we also engage consultants, interns and volunteers.

Some of these staff are part of our regional programmes in 20 countries or territories, working closely with partner organisations in conflict areas. Others focus on research, policy and advocacy on a range of conflict-related themes. They are backed by London-based financial and administrative departments and by our fundraising and communications teams.

Current Opportunities

Based: LONDON

Duration: Two days per week, on-going

We are looking for a detail-oriented long-term volunteer to work in the unrestricted fundraising department in London. We are the team responsible for supporter services, fundraising events, corporate sponsorships, trusts and foundation appeals, community challenges, and major donors. We are a very busy team who need an extra set of capable hands to help in the office two days a week.

This volunteer will be based in London and responsible for helping the team research prospective donors, companies and trusts who are appropriate for Alert. They will also help research and coordinate promotional avenues for our events. Other tasks, as needed, include volunteering at our events, database management and help coordinating direct mailing appeals.

This would be an excellent opportunity to gain office experience.
